compensation of breaking of contract

hello sir/madam..
i’m working in sharjah as followup clerk,completed one year in my job.i’m in father’s visa but i hold labour card of 2years which will expire in feb’14. I have submitted my resignation with 2 months notice period as required by my madam. Now she informed me that i need pay 2months compensation ie, 45days salary will be taken from my salary and she says it is as per labour law. I’am not aware of compensation part of resignation. I have n’t entered in any signing of contract other than applying for Work permit. What will be the consequences further do i need to pay 2months compensation from them??need a legal solution.
