Notice Period as per Offer Letter

I’ve been in working as an auditor for a private company since April 2009 under an unlimited contract. Now I’ve got a better opportunity and I’ve given the resignation but the company says a minimum 3 months notice is required as per the offer letter I signed while joining the firm. There is nothing mentioned about notice period in the original labour contract which is registered at Labour dept. Please advise is the 30 days notice period is enough in my case.

Looking forward an early response.

One Response to Notice Period as per Offer Letter

  1. KK Bose says:

The letter of offer forms part of the contract and since you have agreed to give a minimum three months notice, you may comply with it to avoid unnecessary dispute with your employer.
